Cultural Advisor of the Republic of Iraq visits Baqir al-Olum University
The national project of the The Discourse of Elite Humanities Students started in the summer of 2015. It has aimed at creating scientific capacity in the elite students of humanities in order f to actively engage them in the areas of discourse making, education, research and theorization in humanities.
This project will be implemented through the participation of the top 24 universities in Iran and the cooperation of the best humanities professors.
It is exclusively designed for the elite students of humanities after their passing an entrance examination and interview.
Amongst the national honors of the University is the assignment of writing some school textbooks of Iran.
At the request of the Ministry of Education and Training, the professors of the Faculty of Social Sciences formed a special workgroup, adopted a new approach and wrote the textbook “Sociology” for the tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades of schools in Iran.
These books, containing modern scientific and Islamic contents, have been taught for years in Iranian schools.
