The delegation of Baqir al-Olum University meet the Lebanese Minister of Culture

The professors and students of Baqir al-Olum University met and talked with the Minister of Culture of Lebanon during their academic and cultural trip to the country.


According to the public relations report of Baqir al-Olum University, Dr. Mohammad Wassam Morteza – the Minister of Culture – while welcoming the delegation of Baqir al-Olum University, discussed the common points and the cultural position of Lebanon in the region.
He said: “Despite its small size, Lebanon has a vast and rich history, and the strength of this country stems from the cultural and historical diversity of its various ethnicities and religions.”
Seyyed Hadi Sajedi, head of the International Affairs Department of Baqir al-Olum University, while honoring Lebanon’s victories against the enemies of this nation, emphasized: “Now is the time for the cultural, scientific and academic victories of Lebanon.”
He also stated: “Lebanese managers and officials should pay special attention to and focus on the academic and cultural fields, and not allow the enemies to redefine their dominance over the region with cultural influence and the expansion of non-native and non-religious ideas and theories.”
In this meeting, Lebanon’s role in creating cultural, elite and academic interactions between Iranian and Lebanese thinkers was emphasized. Holding joint academic meetings to bring closer intellectual affinities and scientific and political orientations between Iranian and Lebanese thinkers and elites was also stressed.
