Focusing on alternatives is good, but the forgotten element is politics and the actual enforcement of these articles. For instance, the principle of “freedom of movement” is a universal and human value. So why is it not applied in Gaza? Why are these articles not invoked in the case of Palestine? This demonstrates that the problem is not a lack of principles, but the absence of political will to enforce them.
