Brief Bio

Dr. Ebrahim Davoudi Sharifabad, Assistant Professor of English Language and Translation Studies at Baqir al-Olum University, Qom, has served as Vice President for International Affairs at Imam Reza International University. He has also been the Editor-in-Chief of the International English Journal of Islamic Texts Analysis and Translation, Head of the Department of Islamic Culture and Communication at Akhund Khorasani Faculty, affiliated with Baqir al-Olum University, and a member of the International Research Council of the International Affairs Office of Astan Quds Razavi.
Dr. Davoudi Sharifabad holds a Ph.D. in Translation Studies from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), where he was also a PhD Research Scholar and scholarship recipient. His academic expertise spans Translation Studies, translation of Islamic and religious texts, translation theory and criticism, discourse analysis, interpreting, audiovisual translation, and the translation of scientific and literary texts. His current research focuses particularly on the scholarly translation and critical analysis of the Holy Qur’an and Nahj al-Balagha.
With extensive experience in higher education, academic leadership, international affairs, and research, Dr. Davoudi has taught at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels across several universities. He has held various academic and administrative leadership positions, including Head of the English Language Departments at Sheikh Bahaei University and Payame Noor University, as well as academic and administrative roles at Islamic Azad University and the Islamic Propagation Office of Khorasan Razavi.
In addition to his academic and administrative responsibilities, Dr. Davoudi is an experienced translator and professional interpreter, with expertise in written, consecutive, and simultaneous interpreting. His scholarly contributions include numerous research publications, academic presentations, and scholarly engagements addressing theoretical and applied dimensions of translation, with particular emphasis on the translation, critical analysis, and international dissemination of Islamic and religious texts.
