Abstract :

The topic discussed in this dissertation is a critical analysis of rationality in the views of interpreters to identify other cultures from the perspective of Islamic theology.

The mechanism of recognizing other cultures was examined from the interpreters’ perspective to answer this question.

The central theme of rationality in recognizing other cultures is a central signifier that we sought to trace in the views of five interpretive thinkers (Wynch, Taylor, Geertz, Salins, and Abyssinian.(

Furthermore, the idea of ​​Allameh Tabatabai’s credentials was considered as a representative of Islamic theology.

The method used in this research is descriptive-analytical as well as the realistic method of Islamic theology.

Winch emphasizes social norms, denial of private language, rejection of transcultural rationality, and Taylor emphasizes eloquent comparison language, a common reference world, and pragmatic rationality. Geertz emphasizes the idea of ​​hybrid conceptualization, rejection of universalist mindsets, and Salins emphasizes conceptual and cultural acceptance of pluralism. Abyscar’s emphasis is on the design of a common biological nature and the resulting practical rationality were distinct mechanisms that were studied to identify other cultures, and of course, in addition to ambiguity in some concepts, different critiques of them both in interpretive discourse and in other Western discourses, which has been considered as an entry for the design of Islamic rationality from the perspective of Islamic theology.

Allameh Tabatabai, as a Muslim sage, by establishing credit perceptions under practical reason and discussing expediency and nature and paying attention to ends and anthropology, establishes a rationality that can be criticized if the intended expediency is not provided. We enter universal rationality and separate ourselves from the immeasurable.

He made the study of cultures subject to the rule in terms of rule and law in part, and in terms of valid rules, she affirmed social and private credentials and accepted transcultural rationality.
